The day has come!!! It has happened!!!

He took a bottle!! A real bottle!! He actually drank it... like...all of it!! Can you tell I am excited?? We have been trying for 7 months to get him to take an occasional bottle with NO luck! So... over the course of the past 7 months, I have invested in almost every bottle they make....

1. The Playtex Nurser Bottle
2. The 'Traditional' Bottle
3. The Nuk Bottle
4. The Soothie Bottle
5. The HealthFlow/ TriFlow Bottle
and finally this little beauty...

6. The Adiri Breast Bottle
(yes, this is the entire bottle... it looks like a big ole' boob!!)

After all that... he decides to go with option 1. The Playtex Nurser Bottle. You know... the kind I have 25 of... the ones I've had all along that Allie took with NO problem. UUUGGGGHHH!!! But who cares?!?! I can actually leave him for more than 3 hours now! Oh, sweet freedom!!!

I'm so jealous that Wyatt will hold a bottle. Evan still thinks it's fun to let us hold it though I try and try. I'm also envious that were/are able to nurse him. I had a long horrible struggle with nursing. He looks so cute though, love the pics.

Oh how I still remember the pains of having to live your life in three hour increments! I wish I would have known-I would have suggested you try Dr. Brown's...its the only bottle David took and I swear by them...Congratulations!!!

Tara, don't feel bad. It was horrible when I started with Allie... Just horrible!! I was in tears all day and night... I thought I was loosing it! DUH!! I finally went to see a lactation consultant at the urging of my daughters pediatrician. She knew I was having problems with her latch and was having to pump and give her a bottle. The LC helped so much! Just know it is still a possibility when you have another! Don't give up!! :)

I do hope it is a possibility with the next one. Evan would latch but my hormones were so screwy that I didn't produce much of anything. I pumped to get the whole thing started and never made much headway.

He looks soooo sweet in those pics. Congrats on your new found freedom! :)
I didn't breast feed either but we did go through the bottle craziness when we first brought Lindsay home. We finally went with the Playtex Ventaire. Go figure...it's all a guessing game!
